Home sales and prices paid continued to spiral in Maine last month with both units sold and the average sales price up by double digits year on year.

According to the latest figures from Maine Listings home sales were up 16.81% in March when compared to the same month last year. Realtors were involved in 1,313 sales statewide last month. The median sales price (MSP) for the same time period was up 17.79% to stand at $268,500.

The MSP indicates that half of homes were sold for more and half for less. Low supply and high demand continues to fuel the market numbers with days on market last month at 11 compared to 48 in March of 2020.
