Home sales and prices both recorded positive year on year figures for August according to the latest market data for Maine.
Whilst sales of homes showed a modest increase of 1.31% when compared to the same month in 2019, values were up a whooping 17.39%.
The median sales price (MSP) for August stood at $270,000. MSP indicates half sold for less and half sold for more.
It is a steep reverse in the situation seen in the second quarter of the year which experienced the worst ravages of the pandemic to date. Industry watchers point to the on-going under supply of inventory and continued demand for homes as the main driver behind the buoyant market.
The figures are contained in the latest release by Maine Listings.
